The CNN Caper document, Part II: Abbie Boudreau

NJO: "Benjamin Wetmore: A mentor of mine; a genius", said James O'Keefe in an interview in September 2009. So let's take a look at some of the wisdom of this certifiably mentorial influence on James' life.

Today, the second part of the CNN Caper planning document, which deals specifically with Abbie Boudreau, i.e. how to go about damaging her credibility and by extension CNN's.

Content of document sourced from Breitbart Unmasked.

CNN Caper part two: Abbie Boudreau

1. Activists needed

a. James
b. possibly one other person

2. Support needed

a. None really, could be done with just James
b. Ideally one other person to be in the parking lot or woods to get reaction as they leave, and b-roll footage.

3. Equipment needed

a. Video

1. hidden cams on the boat
2. tripod and overt recorder near the end, an obvious sex tape machine

b. Props

1. condom jar
2. dildos
3. Music
a. Alicia keys
b. 80s romance songs, things that are typically James
c. avoid Marvin Gaye as too cliche
4. lube
5. ceiling mirror
6. posters and paintings of naked women
7. playboys and pornographic magazines
8. candles
9. Viagra and stamina pills
10. fuzzy handcuffs
11. blindfold

4. Concerns and potential problems

a. bad reaction
Bad reactions need to be met with adaptation and adjustment to either ease off or apply more social pressure to the situation in order to keep her in the skit.

b. Christian Hartsock
Considering the complex dynamic with Hartsock, that he will see this CNN connection as his 'big break' and that he's notorious for having loose lips, he certainly can't be trusted to keep this in confidence, and will speak to either people his age or perhaps even to CNN directly to curry favor.  He should be given the vaguest details, and if he's upset about the potential complication to his future, reminded that future operations will be newsworthy as well.

c. if CNN gets advance warning
If CNN gets advance warning and finds this out, you should simply cancel the operation, period.  Their forewarning can be

d. if she refuses to get on the boat
Just leave.  You're in a position of strength.  Make her come to you.  To leave the boat kills the operation.

e. if they refuse the interview
You're negotiating from a position of strength, so simply refuse to do the interview until they agree to your terms: Boudreau and during a time when you're out on the boat and relaxed.

f. Running the operation without props and with a dirty boat
In the rush to get this done, the temptation will be to skimp on the details, and that just puts two things at risk: 1) Boudreau's confusion as to whether this is legitimate, ruining her reaction which is key to the operation, and 2) making the video that much less interesting lacking props and proper ambiance.

g. too many chefs in the kitchen
I already spent 30 minutes defending the idea and trying to battle crazy permutations from Burns.  The more people you tell about an operation, the more it 1) opens it up to unknown future problems, 2) good ideas have to defend against bad ones, 3) people running their mouths to Hartsock, CNN and other people will cause additional unknown complications.

h. After the fact with CNNCNN could issue a statement, the Anderson Cooper show could make some comment about what a lech you are, or could do something either on the presumption that you 1) actually are a creep or 2) they realize it was a gag afterwards  or 3) they admit it was a gag, but say you're a creep and an anti-feminist for doing it regardless.  It's probably most likely they'll ignore the story and hope it goes away, but if it does get covered, there are likely three main scenarios, advice pending each main eventuality:

1) if they pursue this as you are a creep, you should play it up with them initially only to reveal that the tape was made beforehand confirming this was a gag.  Focus on the fact that this was a gag the entire time and they aren't 'in' on the joke.

30% chance

2) if they admit it was a gag, you should release the footage and focus on the fact they got punked, and make sure to emphasize Abbie's name and overall status to help burden her career with this video, incident and her bad judgment in pursuing you so aggressively.  Keep the focus on Abbie if they try to make this just a stunt and move on.

3) if they go on the attack, you should point out the the hypocrisy in CNN using the inherent sexuality of these women to sell viewers and for ratings, passing up more esteemed and respectable journalists who aren't "bubble-headed bleach blondes" and keep the focus on CNN.  If they attack, keep the focus on CNN and the higher-ups at CNN, such as Jonathan Klein, who has changed the channel from serious news to unserious news by pretty-blonde anchors in lieu of real journalists.  If they attack, fight back even harder.

60% chance

i. Burns: IIED concerns

IIED has a high threshold, and courts typically don't like it anyway.  The elements are:

1. Defendant acted intentionally or recklessly; and
2. Defendant's conduct was extreme and outrageous; and
3. Defendant's act is the cause of the distress; and
4. Plaintiff suffers severe emotional distress as a result of defendant's conduct.

I think this is not 2) extreme and outrageous and 3) she would have a hard time proving "distress" and 4) would also be tough, given her experience as a hardened reporter.

j. Sexual harrassment concerns

Sexual harrassment is primarily a workplace concern and not out of the workplace.  Though we're perhaps not 100% in the clear on this, the risk of this is very low.

5. Dialogue

a. Pre-operation video

(Dialogue below under number 10)

b. Initial smalltalk and conversation, coming onto the boat

c. build-up to the catalytic moment

AB: Are you recording this?
JO: If you want, I can record it, I usually don't record it unless I'm trying out a new position or something really kinky though.  I have the camera set up though, so we can do whatever you want, whatever you feel comfortable with.

AB: Is this a gag?
JO: Abbie, I'm not really into S&M, so I don't have any toys like that...
AB: No, is this a joke, are you kidding?
JO: Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about S&M, what do you mean is this a gag?
AB: You can't be serious, I'm married.
JO: Abbie, there's never going to be a right time for you and I.  There's only right now.  We have to make the most of the time we're given, and we're being given right now.

AB: Are you serious?
JO: I've never met a woman like you, one who had the drive, the ambition, and the same creative power, the same creative juice. We're the same person Abbie, we're meant to be together.  I'm serious because my heart is serious.

AB: James, this is not professional.
JO: Abbie, this is our time together.  This isn't work-time, and it's not CNN-time or Breitbart-time, it's you and me time. This is what we get to spend together, and let's not ruin it with worky talk.  Let's spend it with us-time, and let's talk with our bodies.

AB: I realize what you're doing.
JO: What I'm doing is putting my heart on the line here.  I don't do this with other people, I've been hurt in the past, I'm trying to make something special here, Abbie, so let's talk about this.

AB: (crying)
JO: Baby don't cry, tears are for yesterday, pleasure is for today.

AB: James, I spent a lot of money to be here today...
JO: (interrupting) Abbie, I spent a lot of money as well, but I'm spending a lot of emotional capital in order to put my heart on the line for you.  I don't share myself this much with people, this is hard for me.

AB: James, if you didn't want to be serious in this interview, you should have told me, this is unprofessional
JO: Abbie, I came here to talk and be together, is it unprofessional to have feelings?  Is it wrong for me to want to get to know you better?

d. the reveal

AB: I don't know, I don't know what's going on... I just don't know...
JO: Abbie, I have something to tell you.  I brought you here not just to talk, or to do the interview, but that we could enjoy one another.  Abbie, I want to be your greatest story, I'll let you inside if you'll let me be inside of you.

e. after the joke

AB: I just need to go, get me back to the dock.
JO: Hey, I can take no for an answer.  I just want you to know that there are a lot of girls I passed up in order to be with you today. MSNBC was ready to go all the way and I had to turn them down.

AB: I want to go back.
JO: And I want a hand job, but we don't always get what we want.  I'll take you back if you insist though.

f. Woliner jokes are under number 11

6. Persona

James should have a more sleazy persona than normal, with slicked back hair and exposing his chest.  It should be entirely over the top.  The persona should be very touchy-feely,ideally wearing gold chainds and wih cigarettes.

7. Timeline

a. Filming and time-stamping the original 2 minute speech explaining the future punk
b. lining things up with CNN
c. sailing - Tuesday August 17, 2010
d. aftermath

8. Additional informations and research needed

a. Boudreau's biography and background, for discussion during the operation.

9. Jokes and one-liners

Abby, this is the pleasure palace, and I want you to show you the inner sanctum.

I want to take you to a higher place, CNN must be a tough place to work, let's make some headline love.

It's not news, it's CNN.

10. Video that must be time-stamped and released prior to Tuesday:

My name is James, I work in video activism and journalism.  I've been approached by CNN for an interview where I know what their angle is: they want to portray me and my friends as crazies, as non-journalists, as unprofessional and likely as homophobes, racists or bigots of some sort. Abby, who works for Anderson Cooper at CNN, a network notorious for journalistic malpractice, wants to lull me into thinking she's my friends so she can use me and hurt my career.

Instead, I've decided to have a little fun.  Instead of giving her a serious interview, I'm going to punk CNN.  Abbie has been trying to seduce me to use me, in order to spin a lie about me.  So, I'm going to seduce her, on camera, to use her for a video.  This bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who comes on at five will get a taste of her own medicine, she'll get seduced on camera and you'll get to see the awkwardness and the aftermath.

Please sit back and enjoy the show.

11. Woliner one-liners and jokes

a. In general, about her

"She said what?? This woman's facts are more flimsy than her reputation at the sorority house."

"I saw her and her friends gather outside the studio after the show....I thought I was walking into an audition of 'The Contender' "

"She has a winning, gold-medal personality. Too bad the special olympics don't feature that event."

"After her last poltical rant, NOW organized a campaign to repeal the 19th amendment."

"She really is two-faced. And they're both hideous."

"After all these years, she's got former schoolmates going public to speak out against her. I never thought one could make so many enemies in the second grade."

"It's no surprise she advocates wealth redistribution, as her next three ex-husbands will one day attest"

"Some question her intelligence, but I think it takes a strong mind to regurgitate the talking points of a 60's burnout who lived in a van for three years."

b. In person, to her

"We should meet up after this for a cup of coffee. If I'm paying though, I expect at least a hand job afterwards."

"I see some sharks in some distance...but I promise to protect you, for a small price (looks her up and down and smiles)."

"I always knew you wanted to get me alone, I just figured it'd be at a cheap motel involving handcuffs."

"I love it when you look at me like that. Makes me want to ravage you Ghengis Khan-style."

"Your breasts are incredibly perky. What did that run you...seven, eight grand?"

"You've got amazing lips. I'll bet you've made many football teams happy."

"We should come back to my place after this. I've got a brand new Sony with 3 hours of memory."

"Don't listen to people who say you wear too makeup. I like it. It says to the world, 'I'm worth at least $300 an hour'."

"I can tell you work out and eat right. Just so you know, semen is a great source of protein."

"Since we're at sea, do you want to role play? I'll be the captain and you can be my gallows wench."

12. The overall narrative

a. The theatrical narrative - "on stage"

On stage you are portraying yourself as a tortured artist who is having difficulty finding female companionship due to your art. You are doing this interview because you have to, but you want to creatively and physically connect with this woman in order to fulfill your male desires.

b. The video narrative - "off stage" - the final video product

Off stage the narrative is that you don't take CNN seriously and consider their reporting to be a joke.  You can use a hardline feminist critique against women like Boudreau in order to blunt charges of sexism and also to confuse liberals who will, no doubt, try to use this and any action you take against you.  By pointing out the good journalists who aren't photogenic, you play into their higher beliefs against objective beauty in order to cut Boudreau down to size.  Fundamentally this is all just a way to hurt CNN, but the final product should emphasize how unserious Anderson Cooper and CNN's "journalism" is, and how, noting that ridiculousness and the ridiculousness of their anchors, you decided to play a joke on them instead of giving them a legitimate interview.

As they seduce subjects, so shall they be seduced.  As they tell packaged stories ridiculing their subjects, so shall they be ridiculed.

13. The "joke"

The joke is that the tables have turned on CNN.  Using hot blondes to seduce interviewees to get screwed on television, you are faux seducing her in order to screw her on television.

14. Acting and adaptation

As the operation is going on, James will have to adapt and adjust to her mood and her reaction.  If she is pulling away, withdraw and pull her back in.  If she's unsure, comfort her and reassure her.  Vacillate between somewhat serious interview and the come-hither persona as needed in order to confuse her judgment and also keep her on the boat.

She wants to do the interview, she spent thousands of dollars to do this interview, she is invested.  Our job is to make sure she doesn't run away or break too soon.  You want to make sure you have plenty of video and pre-reveal moments before the reveal, and not to proverbially "shoot your load" before the catalytic moment, the big reveal for her.  So keep her hooked and use hot-cold and push-pull kind of psychological tactics in order to keep her in the skit.
